Duties on writs, 1793-1817.

A record of costs for serving writs on various individuals, including the date, the names of the plaintiff and defendant, for whom the writ was signed, the court, and the amount of duty. Individual accounts are between such people as Thomas Day, Isaac Perkins, Ephraim Root, etc., with Andrew Kingsbury. The sheet is a compilation of duties collected between May 1793 and May 1808, for each of the counties in Connecticut. Andrew Kingsbury was Treasurer for the state, and it may be in this capacity that the volume was recorded.
